Scrapbookaholic by Abby Challenge #8

Hey everyone!!! You guessed right... It's that time again!!! Time for the Scrapbookaholic by Abby Challenge #8.

I had a lot of fun doing this challenge. This week is to create something Red, White and Blue!! There can be so many possibilities!! It doesn't just have to be 4th of July. I saw a "hello" card and a birthday card and I loved them all.

Here is my card for this weeks project!

This card is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and the layer is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. I used the K & Company Americana stack for the background and the words. I cut the strip at 4 1/8 x 2 1/2 and used adorable little white buttons. The Ribbon is Whisper White from Stampin Up and the Words are from the Stand and Salute Cart cut at 4". The card base and red strip are from Paper Trey Ink.

I hope you will go over to Abby's blog Scrapbookaholic By Abby and join in our Challenge. By going over there you will love what you see from all the DT members and be entered into the challenge. This week Abby is giving away an adorable 8 x 8 stack by Mosipis Papel.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will stop by again real soon!!!
(There is exciting news hitting my blog in about 2 1/2 weeks!!)

You are not going to want to miss any thing on this hop. It is so much fun!! We are doing this hop to celebrate that the Summer/Beach days are finally starting (we hope!). We all created Summer/Beach themed projects and they all came out awesome!!

I made my card with the H2O solutions cart. I just opened it for this project and I really like how it came out! The Sandcastle is cut at 4 1/2.

The card is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card.  The Layer is 4 x 5 1/4 using Echo Park Summer Days pack. I used the Divine Swirls Cuttlebug Folder for the background. I also used this pretty ribbon from the Dollar Tree. I used the White Sakura Jelly Roll to stitch around the Kraft Cardstock.

I used this stamp that I got out of the dollar bins at JoAnn's to make it an adorable party invitation.

Thanks for coming and visiting my blog for this fun hop!! Your next stop is ALINA. Make sure you go over there and see what awesome project she has in store for you! Make sure you comment on all the blogs in order to be eligible for the amazing blog candy!!

Scrapbookaholic by Abby Challenge #7

Happy Monday!! This weeks Challenge is to use the sketch and make a manly/father's day card or Layout!

This week our challenge sponsor is Sakura of America! I just love their pens... They are my favorite!! The prize is a 6 pack of Jelly Rolls!!!! :)

Here is my card for the challenge this week...

I had originally made a card using the sketch and I didn't like it so I re-made a card and then realized that I did not really incorporate the sketch into this one. I was having a hard time with it. I really do like how this card came out though.

Make sure you go over to Scrapbookaholic By Abby and get the sketch, enter in the challenge and then checkout the rest of the Amazing DT's projects!!

4th of July Card

I did make a few things today like I promised. I was so excited when my bestie came over to scrap for a few hours. She hasn't been here in a few weeks and I was missing her!!! I wanted to make a 4th of July card, but I also have a Graduation card and Birthday Card to make. I got one of them done and I will show you tomorrow.

I used Paper Trey ink cardstock for the card base in A2 size
The white layer is 5 3/8 x 4 1/8
Stars Layer is 5 1/4 x 4
Kids cut @  3 3/4 using A Child's Year
ribbon is from dollar tree

I did not have a stamp for 4th of July, and with all the colors going on I though it was perfect without a sentiment on the front.
